π₯ A VIRGIN, BUT OUT OF OIL π₯
(The Parable of the Ten Virgins β Matthew 25:1β13)
Jesus gave one of the most sobering warnings about the Rapture through a simple story:
Ten virgins went out to meet the Bridegroom.
All were invited.
All were waiting.
All had lamps.
All expected Him to come.
Yet only five entered.
This means something terrifying:
π Not everyone who is waiting is ready.
π Not everyone who looks prepared truly is.
π Not everyone who says βLordβ will enter.
The difference was not their clothes.
Not their language.
Not their position.
Not their association.
The difference was oil.
Matthew 25:8 β
βOur lamps are going out!β
The foolish virgins were not atheists.
They were not pagans.
They were not mockers.
They were church people without oil.
Believers without the fear of God.
Christians without the Spirit.
Followers without surrender.
They waited for Jesus β
but did not prepare for Him.
Their lamps had fire, but cut off from supply.
They had appearance, but no surrender.
They had religion, but no relationship.
They had light for a moment, but soon overruled but the darkness darkness hidden within.
π₯ WHAT DOES THE OIL REPRESENT?
Oil speaks of: β’ The Holy Spirit
β’ A genuine walk with God
β’ Inner spiritual life
β’ Daily obedience
β’ True salvation
β’ Ongoing repentance
β’ Living faith
You cannot borrow oil.
You cannot inherit oil.
You cannot fake oil.
You must have your own.
Church can give you a lamp.
Parents can teach you the way.
Pastors can preach the truth.
But only you can carry your oil.
β οΈ THE MOST SHOCKING MOMENT
While they went to buy oilβ¦
βThe Bridegroom came, and they that were ready went in with himβ¦ and the door was shut.β
β Matthew 25:10
Not slowly.
Not gradually.
Not room for explanation.
The door was shut.
And when they knocked, it was too late.
βLord, Lord, open to us.β
But He answered:
βI know you not.β
This is not about hatred.
This is about readiness.
β³ THIS IS THE WARNING FOR OUR GENERATION
Many have lamps: β’ Church membership
β’ Bible verses
β’ Christian names
β’ Ministry titles
β’ Religious language
But few have oil: β’ Broken hearts
β’ Repentant lives
β’ Holy living
β’ True devotion
β’ Obedient spirits
π₯ THE QUESTION IS PERSONAL
Not βDo you attend church?β
Not βDo you know doctrine?β
But:
Do you have oil?
If Jesus comes tonight:
Will your lamp still burn?
Or will it go out in darkness?
π WHAT MUST YOU DO NOW?
Seek God truly while He may be found.
Repent while mercy still speaks.
Be filled with the Spirit.
Live separated from sin.
Walk daily with Christ.
βWatch therefore, for ye know neither the day nor the hour wherein the Son of man cometh.β β Matthew 25:13
Dearly Beloved,
the wedding is near.
The cry has gone out.
The Bridegroom is at the door.
Only those with oil will enter.
Do not be religious without relationship.
Do not shine without sanctification.
Do not wait without preparation.
Have oil.
Stay filled.
Be ready.
God will help you
