WEEK 1: FOLLOWING & ABIDING IN CHRIST
(Feb 3 – Feb 7)
DAY 1 – “FOLLOW ME”
Word of Christ Jesus.
“Follow Me.” — Matthew 4:19
Morning Devotion.
Jesus’ call is simple but powerful. He doesn’t say, understand everything — He says, follow Me. Today begins with surrendering your plans to His direction.
The first call of Jesus is not complicated. He does not ask for perfection, qualifications, or strength. He simply says, “Follow Me.” This word is an invitation into relationship, direction, and transformation. To follow Jesus means to leave behind old patterns, old identities, and self-led living. It is choosing His voice above every other voice. Today, Jesus is not asking where you are coming from — He is asking where you are willing to go with Him.
Morning Prayer
Lord Jesus, today I respond to Your call. I choose to follow You today, to follow You with all my heart, my mind, and my actions. Lead my steps, order my decisions, and teach me Your ways.
Align my ways to your will.
I release control and trust You completely.
I surrender my day to you. Amen.
PRAYER FOR THE DAY
Follow Me
Lord Jesus Christ,
Today I hear Your call clearly: Follow Me. I lay down my own plans, my own understanding, and my own direction, and I choose to follow You wholeheartedly. Lead my steps where my eyes cannot see and guide my heart where my mind feels unsure. I surrender control and place my trust in You.
Teach me to walk in obedience, humility, and faith. Remove distractions that pull me away from Your voice. Shape my desires to match Your will and help me follow You daily, not occasionally. Wherever You lead me, I will go. Amen.
Night Reflection:
Did I follow Jesus today or did I follow my own will?
Night Prayer
Jesus, thank You for walking with me today. Forgive every moment I chose my way over Yours. As I rest, align my heart again to follow You tomorrow. Amen.
